Hi, My name is Sue Wisniewski, I am the Children’s Ministry Coordinator at Vergennes United Methodist Church. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself and what I believe. I am a wife of 32 years and have 3 grown children. I have served the Lord as a volunteer in two churches and am pleased that Lord has lead me to Vergennes to serve Him professionally. I am a graduate of Kuyper College and hold a BS in Theology and Child Development, with a minor in communications. Children’s Ministry is my first love, my reason for living, and what I do to bring Glory to my Lord and Savior.
L4 J or “Live for Jesus” is the title of our Sunday morning Children’s Ministry program here at Vergennes. I welcome your visits to the Lower Level to see all the fun we are having in L4J as we “tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done.” (Psalms 78:4b NIV)

Children’s Ministry News
We completed two spring Kindness Projects this year.
The Nursery Shower gave all of the L4J Kids a chance to serve the Lord in our own church and bring awareness to the congregation of the needs of our youngest L4J attendees.
The 4th & 5th grade Kids Food Basket Project allowed our 9 to 11 year-olds to serve the Lord outside of our church! The project opened the eyes of our kids to the needs of children in Grand Rapids. Eight kids packed 186 meal packets that will be given to Children in Grand Rapids. All our kids were invited to help deliver the packets.
New people and new things:
We have been blessed with five new families this spring for a total of eight new children in L4J! Welcome everyone!!!
Have you seen the new curtains in the Nursery & Preschool rooms, and the new rug in the preschool room? We also have several new books and toys!
Coming soon… a nursery mural and a new playground! Come on in and check it out!!
Upcoming Children’s L4J
(Live for Jesus) Schedule
Our last regular meeting for this school year is May 20, 2012. Lots of fun events and activities are being planned for the Summer! Watch for details!
Vacation Bible School will be June 18-21. We will be using a new format this year. Kids will join age related “Crews”, participate in several different themed activities and be invited to “Slam Dunk Malaria!”
Some of the planned events are: The Swamp, Crawfish Crafts, Gator Games, Snack Shop, Bible Bayou, Bible Skits, Slam Dunk Malaria, Rocky’s Preschool Playhouse and Firefly Finale.
